The debut of the BMW 120D XDrive (F40) was extremely successful

BMW's F20 model and therefore the previous version set the bar extremely high. This compact was captivating with controlled characteristics, offered exemplary ergonomics and became a phenomenal sports car, with the M2 Competition. As good as the new series 1 was, its predecessor had an element of pure driving pleasure and a rear-wheel drive configuration that could not be replicated on the new platform designed for front-wheel drive.

At first glance, you can see that almost everything has changed in the new country. The car has different proportions, much closer to the Mercedes class A. a longer front overhang, a higher directional and shorter hood, and finally a shorter rear overhang. BMW mingled with the crowd and fit in with market trends. I'm sorry, but it's too late to complain.

The designers had to squeeze everything out of the project, and the effect of their work may not appeal to many. In front, there are huge air intakes and equally impressive headlights, which strongly overlap the wings. The back and, above all, the lights are a bit reminiscent of the Lexus CT, but at the same time hint at the current style language in the brand's lineup.
